Product Description
MC-36LSiR (TIG) is a 316L type of austenitic stainless steel with a modified higher silicon level that increases weld puddle fluidity, ensuring better tie-ins and potentially higher welding speed. Typical applications include welding 18% Cr – 12% Ni – 2% Mo stainless steel in chemical, oil, and gas refineries, excellent creep strength, and resistance to pitting corrosion.
Operational and Packaging Data:
- Rod size: 0.8mm, 1.0mm,1.2mm, 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.4mm, and 3.2mm.
- R0d packaging: 5kg.
Notes on usage:
- For GTAW process, use DC-EN, Pure Argon.
- For GMAW process, Spray Transfer or Short Circuit Transfer mode can be used.
- 98% Argon + 2% O2 shielding gas is recommended in GMAW process.
