A low carbon rutile-silica-coated 19Cr, 10Ni austenitic stainless steel electrode with controlled ferrite approx. 6-8% for maximum resistance to cracking and corrosion. Coating with very low moisture picks up. Soft fusion without spatters, very easy slag removal exceptional weld bead appearance, and easy re-striking.

POWERWELD High Tensile Welding Electrode STAINARC 308L-17

 

STAINARC 308L-17 is a rutile-acid type electrode with good weldability, moisture resistance flux coating, and maximum resistance to cracking and corrosion. This electrode features soft fusion without spatters, very easy slag removal exceptional weld bead appearance, and easy re-striking. Applied for all 18/8 type stainless steels like AlS1 301, 302, 304, and 304L at service temperature from -120˚C up to +350˚C tubes, tanks, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
